Piano Lessons

Read Student Reviews Here

My studio is filled with a variety of ages and levels of piano students. From beginning children and adults through very advanced conservatory-level musicians.

I draw on years of professional experience to provide a structured and comprehensive approach to music-making. Regardless of your level and goals, this is the surest and most enjoyable approach to mastering the piano.

My students regularly place very well in very high-level competitions. However, I work with students with many backgrounds and goals, including beginners and those not interested in public performance or competition. The primary requirement for is a love of music and dedication to regular long-term practice.

I currently accept students on an audition basis. This varies from an informal chat and a basic first lesson for beginners, through a full scale performance-audition for those seeking more advanced lessons. I think you'll find that I am extremely warm and approachable.

If you're interested in scheduling an audition, or would like more information, please e-mail me The cost of an audition is the same as one half-hour lesson ($40), but may run more or less than a half-hour depending on each particular student.

Still have questions about rates and location? Try reading my lesson info sheet.

This is my generic info blurb, you may find that it answers many of your questions.

Rates and Location:

I'm proud to say that I draw students from as far as Round Rock and New Braunfels! I do most of my teaching from my home studio located near the Hyde Park area. My rates are: $40 per half hour, $55 per 45 minutes, and $70 per hour. I have found that for most people a 30 or 45 minute lesson is ideal, although an hour or more is not out of the question for advanced students. After a couple lessons, most students can decide whether lessons are for them or not. At this point I typically ask that fees be paid in monthly segments through the end of each month.

Current openings:

I am currently accepting a few new students as time and scheduling permits.

A bit more about me:

I have over a decade of professional teaching experience-my students ranging from complete beginners (both children and many adult beginners) to college level professional musicians. My teaching style is generally warm and encouraging and I cater each lesson to a student's particular needs and goals.
